The Peace Department (PD) is officially a member of The Blue Planet Alliance (BPA), a coalition dedicated to advocating for islands and countries around the world to legislatively mandate a commitment to 100% renewable energy by 2045.

Significant moments:

  • Program Officer Natalia Alvarez De Jesús spoke on a panel highlighting The Peace Department's work around Place-Based Transition Funds and how partnerships with organizations like BPA can help plug in SDG-augmenting solutions to already-existing transition efforts.

  • Ann Strimov Durbin, PD's Executive Director, represented The Peace Department in a signing ceremony with BPA Founder Henk Rogers to commemorate our joining the Alliance.
