What We Do

Theory Of Change

We see the UN Sustainable Development Goals as a roadmap for peace.

The SDGs provide a framework to address structural risks to human and planetary security—including human rights violations, systemic exclusion, economic disparity, and environmental degradation. However, true collective action is missing.

  • Rather than tackling the SDGs in isolation, we approach them synergistically. We foster radical cross-sector collaboration around community-driven solutions that harmonize economic, social, and environmental priorities. By working together, we create replicable models that can be scaled for systemic impact.

Community Engagement

Communities are the best experts on their own needs. To facilitate the kind of deep community engagement essential to our place-based methodology, we cultivate levers for community activation. We utilize the following strategies to foster authentic engagement and build trust.

Faith-based initiatives: Leveraging the power of shared values and spiritual connection.

Art and storytelling: Using creative expression to bridge divides and inspire action.

Youth-activation events: Creating opportunities for young people to come together and strengthen social bonds while stewarding our planet.

These approaches help us understand local challenges and develop effective solutions that are truly meaningful to the communities we serve.

Place-Based Projects

We believe that sustainable and peaceful communities are built from the ground up. Our place-based approach means that we prioritize collaborative, community-led projects tailored to a location and its particular dynamics and needs.

We start by activating our network to identify community-based organizations prime for partnership and already doing great work in the sustainability space. Once we build trust and understand needs, we bring community members together with our network partners to co-design strategies for integrating additional innovations and programs.

Systems Innovation

Our approach to systems change is grounded in creating replicable models for accelerating just and sustainable transition, one place at a time. So, even if our projects are localized, our work has system-scale implications. By partnering with communities, we design innovative solutions that address both local needs and global challenges.

Our work involves:
• Assembling diverse stakeholders to develop and test holistic and integrated strategies.
• Sharing best practices and creating playbooks for the broader social change community.
• Building a network of interconnected projects to enable cross-pollination and amplify impact.

Through our efforts, we aim to inspire and inform sustainable transformation around the world.
