Peace Department Spotlight: PDPX in Action
At a time when communities around the world are grappling with the intersecting challenges of climate, equity, and economic resilience, one truth is clear: real change must start locally—and scale globally.
That’s why we’re thrilled to formally announce the launch of PDPX—a new accelerator designed to uplift local organizations leading community-based solutions to today’s most pressing challenges.
Developed in collaboration with Pyxera Global, Metabolic, and the Global Alliance for a Sustainable Planet, PDPX takes a different approach to systems change. Instead of applying one-size-fits-all fixes, we work alongside community-based organizations (CBOs) to co-design strategies that are rooted in place, powered by local leadership, and built to scale.
What makes PDPX different? PDPX is more than an accelerator—it’s an ecosystem builder. We:
Empower community-led work focused on climate resilience, opportunity, and inclusive development
Foster cross-sector collaboration to break down silos and drive place-based innovation
Co-create scalable models that can be adapted in communities around the world for systems scale impact
How it works:
We identify local changemakers already creating impact
We connect them to resources, expertise, and partnerships
We co-create solutions that are scalable, replicable, and sustainable
Why now? This month’s newsletter dives into articles exploring the urgency of local innovation—from cultural preservation as a pathway to climate resilience, to the national security risks of underinvesting in communities, to new funding models post-foreign aid. PDPX meets this moment by investing in the infrastructure of hope: local leadership, shared learning, strategic solution integration, and systems thinking.
We’re looking for mission-driven organizations who are:
Deeply embedded in their communities
Advancing environmental, social, or economic resilience
Seeking support to augment and scale their work
If that’s you—or someone you know—we’d love to connect. Let us tell you more about it here >> www.peacedepartment.global/pdpx
Here's to building a more just, resilient, and sustainable future—from the ground up.
