For Earth Day 2023, The Peace Department launched “Together for Peace,” a global campaign spanning five countries to support underserved communities through grants, grassroots initiatives, and interfaith collaboration. In the U.S., we partnered with Family Life Academy Charter School I in the Bronx to relaunch a community garden addressing youth food security, and co-hosted an interfaith Prayer for Earth with The Sanctuary Church Bronx. In Los Angeles, we supported the Watts Empowerment Center’s Earth Day beautification project, planting greenery to bring new life to the space.

Internationally, we worked with Muslim Hands Pakistan on tree planting, interfaith dialogues, and Earth Day oaths across ten schools. In Mexico, we supported Tulum Circula’s beach clean-up in the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, alongside the launch of Alejandro Durán’s Trash Museum. In Ecuador, Obra de María Madre y Reina de la Unidad began “Forests of Faith,” blending tree planting with spiritual stewardship. And in India, Ecopeace Teen Cafe led a youth-driven tree planting at Karickam International Public School. Together, these efforts sparked lasting action for the planet, rooted in peace, faith, and community.
